THE BEAUTY IN ALL OF US

I'm sure most of you have seen/heard about Colbie Caillat's video addressing women's natural beauty and the way society has driven women to feel like they have to "try" to become beautiful.

That's where women are wrong.  They don't have to try.

You just are.

God made us all in our own special ways.  He designed us just as He saw fit for us.

I love to dabble in make-up and hair products just the same as most of you, but we need to remember that we are who we are WITHOUT those items.

Please check out the video below if you haven't seen it yet.  Or, if you just want to see it again like I did.

Way to go, Colbie.  The world needs more people like you.

  1. I loved it! When it first started, not knowing anything about the song, lyrics or video - I started thinking "but they all have make up on! That's the #1 way that woman are pushed to be more beautiful. As it went one... wow. I am not a make-up wearer. I've only really worn it for my wedding day -and I have to say it made me look so gorgeous. But not because of what OTHERS told me of me looking pretty, but because that's how I felt. But I guess that also had to do with the white dress and hair. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

  2. I love that you blogged about this. I plan on sometimes soon. It needs to get out there. She did a wonderful job with the song and video. I hope every woman feels comfortable in their own skin sans makeup. God made us that way and he made us perfect!
