I'm going to let my Engagements post be this one, :)

Five Songs

Honestly, I'm skipping it.  I like WAY too many songs to pick only five.

Thirty.
React to this term: Letting Go

Life is hard to accept when you are facing a situation that requires you to "let go" of someone or something.  But it's normal to go through such phases.

I've faced some times in my life when it felt like the hardest moments to work up the courage to "let go" but in the end, it's been some of the best decisions of my life. :)

For example, I wouldn't have Brian had we both not faced one of these decisions. :)

It is so secret.  I love books.

And when Brian got me my Kindle, it was one of the best gifts.

I love to find a good book and "get lost" in it with the characters.  For people who read, you understand what I mean.  If you don't, then you are like B and can't understand the love for it.  I think he has told me before he has never read a book.  I can't even think about never reading a book.

It's funny how people differ when it comes to things they enjoy.  I don't think any less of him because he doesn't read.  Just like he doesn't think any less of me because I don't Xbox, LOL.

Can't ya'll see us now, he will be screaming at the tv and I'll be hushing him so I can concentrate on my book.  LOL.  I'll let ya'll know how that turns out! ;)

I've always normally stuck to romance.  It just grabs my heart and feeds the hopeless romantic that I am inside.  However, lately I've been reading some James Patterson, from the Alex Cross series and I have to say- I LOVE IT.

Maybe I've watched too many Criminal Minds episodes, but something about the serial killers intrigue me.  That's weird sounding.  I promise I'm not a killer. LOL..

So, do you like to read?  What are some suggestions you have liked that I might like if I tried?  I want to expand my reading topics! :)

I love this man.  :)  October 12, 2013 can't get here quickly enough!

A New Chapter

Today is such a special day.

My loving, handsome, supportive fiance is 30!  While he feels like this is a sign of "getting old" I feel like this is just another page in our lives. Besides, before we know it I will be turning 30 to match him, LOL.

I just want to take a minute to brag on this man, and show a little glimpse of the love I have for him.  He came into my life and immediately became my best friend.  He has watched me cry, dried the tears, laughed in hysterical moments with me, and watched me get mad and handle tough situations.  And he has stood beside me during it all.

There are probably days he doesn't necessarily "like" me but he always stands up for me and puts me first.  He is devoted to me and my happiness and tries to give me the best of everything. He just doesn't understand HE is the best I have gotten.  He's my love.

This man is the very example of what I have dreamed of my entire life.  He is going to be the best husband and future father to our kids.  He has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

I sometimes sit back and wonder how I got so lucky to deserve this man.  And then I follow up with prayers and thanking God for the path he directed us both on to find each other.

This man is my heart.  He is my soul.   He is the love of my life.  And today I celebrate 30 years of his amazing self.  I can't wait to spend the rest of my life wishing this man the happiest of birthdays.

I love you babe, more than anything!

To you..

A letter to my readers.

To each and every reader- I want to say thank you.

When I first started this blog, it was merely as something fun to do.  I thought I would write every so often and just more/less "play" with it.  And then I started writing more often and finding that this is in a way a scrapbook.  And trust me, I tried to scrap book a few times and that just doesn't work for me.  This is so much better.

So I started taking things more seriously and writing more often.  And then I started getting followers.  And that's where you come in.  I want to thank you all.  I've read some sweet, encouraging, funny, and inspiring comments.  And it means the world to me that I've found some of my best friends via this blogging community.

You ladies truly are the best. :)

Something someone told you about yourself that you'll never forget.
I once had a friend tell me something really simple.  But it was something that stuck.  This friend was confiding in me about something going on in their life.  This person asked me for my opinion on what should/shouldn't be done.  And I answered truthfully.

Sometimes I think we say what others want to hear, to make them feel better.  But I've always felt like if I were to ask someone some advice then I want real advice.  And that's how I answered this friend.  It probably wasn't they wanted me to say or what they wanted to hear.  It wasn't the best or easiest answer.  But it was the blunt truth that they needed someone to tell them.

Afterwards, they came back and told me it meant more to them that I was honest and truthful and didn't sugar coat anything than the others who were just trying to "be on their side".  That really stuck with me.  And I've kept the same philosophy since then.

So, if you ask me for advice or my opinion- be prepared for my answer. :)

Something you read online.
I read a lot online.  I read blogs mainly though.  And I touch on CNN.com for the latest news.  And then I scan Facebook a few times a day, but nothing much.  Facebook has lost my interest and I've debated deleting it honestly.

Sunday Social

1. What is your best summer memory as a kid?
Camping.  My family used to spend every weekend at the campground.  I loved being "gone" from home and getting time to enjoy the outdoors.  I think that's why I love the outdoors so much these days.

2. What is your favorite summer drink?
I don't really have a "summer drink" that I enjoy.  Nothing really changes about my drinking habits, LOL.  But I do  drink a lot more water in the summer.

3. What is your favorite summer TV show?
I'm outside.  I could care less about television.

4. What is the best outdoor summer activity?
Boating!!!!! I love the water!

5. What are your summer vacation essentials?
Flip flops, beach towel, sunglasses, tanning lotion, and a swimsuit.  And I'm happy :)

Top three worst traits.

I probably have a lot more than three, but if I had to pick three that I dislike the most about myself then I would say:

1. OCD.  Sure, a lot of people are OCD, but it's about things being in order or what not.  (Don't worry, I'm that way too!) but I'm VERY OCD about plans going as planned.  LOL.  And when they don't.. I get wired up.  It's not attractive.

2. Self-conscious.  I truly am the worst critic when it comes to myself.  Bleh.

3. Worry.  I worry about the smallest, least significant things that are completely out of my control.

Things you've learned that school won't teach you.

Life is HARD.  It's not just as simple as it seems.

There are some things that no one can show you or teach you, they will just come as life goes on.

You will find out who your "real" friends are when times get tough, real tough.

You will pick up on people's body language for answers when their words are missing.

Sometimes you have to walk out on a limb to see how much you can handle.

Love is hard, but worth it when you find The One.

Your parents will always be your biggest fans.  Listen to their advice.

Take too many pictures.

Tell everyone you love them, ever shot you get.

and most importantly, since God isn't allowed in schools these days...

KEEP GOD FIRST.
