1. What was your favorite TV show as a kid?

Saved By The Bell, Hey Dude!, and Unsolved Mysteries (even though it terrified me!)  Yes, I was a strange kid.  I didn't watch cartoons at all. :)

2. What is your current favorite TV show?

Pretty Little Liars, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and I'm starting to come around to most of B's guy shows.. :)

Also, I'm big on NCIS, Law & Order, and Criminal Minds. :)

3. Which reality show would you NEVER do?

Any of them.  I love to guilty pleasure watch, but would never do it myself.

4. Which reality show would you LOVE to do?

Nada. haha.

5. What is the TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?

I don't think I watch anything that's "like me"....hmmm.

6. Which TV character would you want to date?

Well since my fave is PLL... and they are all WAY younger than me.. I"m going to skip hahahhaa.

1. What is the best trip you've ever been on?

My parents' and I took a cruise one year.  It was seriously the best vacation I've ever been on.  I know lately there has been a lot of heck given to cruise lines for things going wrong mid-cruise, but really it was SO good in my opinion.  My mom and I ate pizza in the wee hours of the night, we drank hot chocolate on the deck after it was dark and cooler from the night air.  We had fabulous dinners that we wouldn't otherwise have on a normal vacation and we got to see the clearest, prettiest water I've ever seen in my life.  

Hands down, I'd jump on a cruise again.  

2. What is your best idea for a girls weekend trip?

Beach!  Can you tell I love the "beach life"?  Seriously my girls and I did this for a little while and it was SO fun! 

3. What is your best idea for a couples trip? 

I think somewhere relaxing where you can spend more time with each other rather than always on the go doing something. 

4. What is the best vacation on the cheap?

I live close enough to some bigger cities, so we could take a night there, eat some good food, and feel like we had a mini-vacation!

5. What is the place you most want to visit?

The Virgin Islands!! New York again!

1. What is your favorite store to shop at?

Um... I don't shop very much.  But when I do, I really like Target or Old Navy.

2. If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

Michael Kors would populate my closet. :)

3. What is your must have closet staple?

Black dress pants.  I wear them 3-4 times a week, so they are a must for me!

4. What is your favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)

I love flip flops.  And more specifically, I love Rainbows and Yellow Box. :)

5. What is the best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)

I am a CHEAP-O.  So I've scored a lot of good deals. I can't think of the best one ever off the top of my head though!

6. What is a style you'd love to try?

I would love to try more headbands.  I love how they look on girls, but when it comes to me- I feel like I look like an idiot!

1.  How did you come up with your blog name? 
- I had a really hard time with this one when I first started my blog.  And I honestly can't remember what my first name was, but eventually I landed on Keeping Up With Kayla and went with it.  Oh, and yes, I stole it from the Kardashians.

BUT, a little hint- Come October and this little blog of mine is probably going through some changes! ;)

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging? 
-My favorite thing is by far getting to know other women who I otherwise wouldn't have the chance to meet.  I've found some of my best friends through this blogging community.

3. What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without?
belVita breakfast biscuits.  LOVE THOSE THINGS!!

4. Facebook or Twitter? and why? 
Twitter.  I still have Facebook, but I am way over it.  I like Twitter because it's easier, less "cluttered" in my opinion, and it's mainly my blogging friends. :)

5. If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be? 
I highly doubt this would ever happen.  Besides, I don't blog for popularity.  I blog for me! :)

6. What is something you want people to know about your blog?
-My blog is a way for me to keep track of some of the most important days of my life.  I have found the love of my life, got engaged, and been planning a wedding.  I can't wait to see it evolve into a marriage and kiddos! :)

My blog will be a lot about me daily life, with some crafts, recipes, and random moments mixed in.  :)

1. What is your best summer memory as a kid?
Camping.  My family used to spend every weekend at the campground.  I loved being "gone" from home and getting time to enjoy the outdoors.  I think that's why I love the outdoors so much these days.

2. What is your favorite summer drink?
I don't really have a "summer drink" that I enjoy.  Nothing really changes about my drinking habits, LOL.  But I do  drink a lot more water in the summer.

3. What is your favorite summer TV show?
I'm outside.  I could care less about television.

4. What is the best outdoor summer activity?
Boating!!!!! I love the water!

5. What are your summer vacation essentials?
Flip flops, beach towel, sunglasses, tanning lotion, and a swimsuit.  And I'm happy :)

Chocolate, duh! Anyone that knows me, knows I can't live without chocolate! :)

3. What is your favorite summertime activity?

I love getting to go on the boat and enjoy some sunshine!  I also love there are more concerts around and more cookouts :)  I love being outdoors.

4. Do you have any vacations planned this summer?

Yes, I'll be going on White Family Vacation #2 this June!  It's our last before we are married! 

5. Favorite summer holiday?

July 4th!  Cookouts, fireworks, and family/friend time.  LOVE IT.

6. What is your dream vacation?

 Somewhere tropical :)

1. 1 year ago I was doing...

-I was working (same job!)

-I was hanging out with these two babies.

(( When I still watermarked.  oops.))

-I was dealing with a mole that had to removed after I woke up to blood everywhere. 

-I finished reading Fifty Shades of Grey.  I think I'll read it again....... 

-I went on a date with my man and he got my future initials in his cap.  (Pre-engagement!)

-I celebrated my man's 29th birthday!

2. 5 years ago I was doing...

I was 24 years old and just about to move back to my hometown of Corinth after living in Oxford, MS. (Hotty Toddy!)  I was gearing up for my roommate's wedding. (Alicia, I cannot believe it's almost been 5 years ago!!) I was almost about to discover that once I moved back to Corinth, I was going to be buying my first home in October!

3. 10 years ago I was doing...

I was 19.  I don't remember ten years ago, LOL.  I'm only kind of kidding.  I was going to school at NE and doing color guard.  I was far less skinny then, and a lot more tan.   My..ten years..

4. 1 year from now I'll be doing...

I figure the same job, but I'll be a married woman.  Brian and I will be preparing for the annual White Family Vacation. (And hoping to always get a photo session out of it!) And I will be living my dream life, with my dream guy!

5. 5 years from now I'll be doing...

Hopefully mommy things.  My biggest dream is to be a mother, so I hope that in 5 years time Brian and I have been blessed with a child.  Actually by five years from now, my child bearing years will be gone.  That's kind of a dose of reality. 

6. 10 years from now I'll be doing...

Whatever it takes to provide for my family.  I'll be loving the Lord and hoping He gives me another chance at life every single day.  I'll be happy. Very happy.

1. Did you sleepwalk as a child?

- One time, I did.  I walked out the door and to the next house.... luckily that next house was my grandmother's!! Scary stuff though!!

2. Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house?

-I said I was going to run away once.. but I soon realized I'd want my mama at bedtime so I stayed home, LOL.

3. Did you have any imaginary friends?

-YES.  And her name was Seeda.  And the best part,  I had a picture of her.  It was one of those people's pictures that come in picture frames when you buy them.   

4. Did you ever go toilet papering?

-Only once.  We struck the band director's yard... & got caught.  &&&& had to come clean it back up.  FAIL.

5. Did you ever sneak tv shows you weren't allowed to watch?

-My parents were not too strict about tv, so I can't think of anything.

Well, since I don't shop.. I don't know how to answer this.  I know, you're freaking out that I "don't shop" but this gal lives on a strict budget, and when that's in place there's no room for stores. HA!  But, I used to really love purses. 

2. What is your food weakness?

Pizza an chocolate, by far!

3. What is your go to movie to watch when nothing is on?

I don't really enjoy re-watching things, but one that never gets old is The Notebook or Field of Dreams.  Ah, love those!

4. What is your go to breakfast food?

Uhh, I don't eat breakfast.  Bad, I know. 

5. Do you drink coffee? If so, how do you take it?

I wouldn't function without coffee.  But it MUST have creamer, anything like hazelnut or french vanilla, etc.

1. What is your favorite type of workout to do? Although, I don't do near as much of this as I need with an upcoming wedding looming, BUT I personally like to walk/run.  Of course, with music turned up so loud I wouldn't hear a car honking it's horn at me.  Yes, it's dangerous, but I like to "space out" during my exercising. :) 

2. What is your favorite guilty pleasure candy or sweet?

Milk chocolate, just about anything.  It's a fact that I CANNOT stand not having any chocolate in my house.  I'm a little addicted. :P

3. What is one thing you continuously forget to do?

Give the dogs a bath.  I know that's weird, but I can always "find an excuse" for not doing it at times, and then I forget to do it.  Poor babies, at least they live inside. ;)

4. Do you prefer post-its or phone reminders? Why?

I'm a post-it girl all the way.  I use my phone when I have nothing else, but I don't prefer it at all. I'm old school- I like to physically WRITE it.

5. What is your favorite picture currently on your phone that always makes you smile?

I just love this man, with my heart and soul.

Spring!
   

1. What is your favorite thing about spring?
- I am not at all a fan of winter, so when I see spring coming alive around me- it is SO welcoming.  It is the sign of my beloved summer coming soon!  I love seeing all the grass getting green again, and my lilies starting to sprout!

2. What is your favorite kind of flower to grow or receive?
I love hydrangeas, lilies, and Gerber daisies.

3. What is your favorite nail polish color?
I'm really simple.  I like like pastel colors.  I have a bad habit of biting my nails ((any tips/tricks are welcomed!)) so I like something more muted!

4. What is your favorite outdoor activity?
I LOOOOVE to plant flowers!  I didn't get to do much of it last year, so I'm hoping this year I can get back on track!

5. Do you have any fun spring fans? Details :)
My spring plans kind of go along with #4.  I am really just hoping to get the outside of my house looking more up-to-date and cute!  :)

1. What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

First of all, I love a good rainy day.  As long as I don't have to get out on it in on a work day, or a day I had something planned.  But what I like to do is curl up with a blanket (and maybe a dog!) and watch a good movie or nap! :)  It's so relaxing!

2. What is your favorite thing to do on a summer weekend?

Summertime is my favorite time of year, hands down! I love to get up and out early on a Saturday morning and hit up some yard sales! Some people think yard sales are "junk", and sometimes that's true.  But sometimes you run across a nice treasure just waiting for your love and touch!  So that's how I spend Saturday mornings, and then Saturday afternoon is nap-time, and Saturday night is whatever me and my honey want to do!

3. What is your favorite spring activity?

Spring is when I like to start getting my yard in order for the summer.  I like to go buy new flowers, potting soil, etc.

I like to see "life" around my house after dreadful cold weather!

I'm thankful for springtime looming!

4. What is your favorite way to spend a winter day?

I despise winters.  I like to stay in bed or cuddled in blankets and dream of summer, LOL!

5. What is your favorite season and why?

Summertime!  There is just nothing better than flip flops, tank tops, and tans!

6. What is the best birthday you ever had?

I've loved all my birthdays! Everyone always makes me feel so loved!

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?

I don't want ANY scary movies.  I have always been a big chicken about them, but living alone and scary movies doesn't mix well.  So, I haven't watched a scary movie in 5 years! (How long I've had my house and lived alone!)

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?

There's lots.  I don't watch a whole lot of TV, just a few shows! So there's plenty I see advertised that I think would be cool. 

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?

Well, I'd love to visit another country.  But that requires flying, and heights aren't on my good list. :S

4. Would you ever travel alone?

If it was to somewhere I was familiar with, I'd have no problem.  But I haven't ever up to this date.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?

Reading, blogging, shopping, organizing things, crafting, or watching a good girlie movie!

1. What is the best Valentine's Day you've ever had?

This will sound totally cheesy, but it was last year.  That was B and I's first Valentine's together and he did SO good.  He got me lots of goodies, took me shopping, to eat etc. but what stuck out to my was my flowers and teddy bear that got delivered at work.  That's unusual for me.  But my teddy bear was a WHITE bear.  Symbolic that I would one day be a "White".  Just a lot of thought went into it and I appreciate it!

2. What is the worst Valentine's Day you've ever had?

I can't think of a bad one really.  I mean sure, it sucked a few times being alone on V-day, but that's okay.  I was alive and well and had my family! :)

3. What did you do for Valentine's this year?

I had some crock pot ribs going during the day, so after work I came home and prepared the sides and set the table.  B and I ate and then watched Moonshiners and Swamp People. LOL

OH and this year's flowers had the "white" roses and my teddy bear had a chocolate ribbon around it's neck, symbolic of the wedding colors! :)

4. What is your best Valentine's idea if you're single?

Either go out with some girlfriends or gather together in someone's house and have a ice cream/chick flick night!

5. What is your favorite Valentine's candy?

Chocolate. Any kind, any shape, and lots of it! :)

6. Favorite Valentine's memory from your childhood?

Mama and daddy would usually have some type of Valentine's goodies waiting on me!  It was always nice and fun! :)

1. What was your first car?
I had a white Nissan Altima.  I think it was a 1994, but I'm totally sure about that now.  But I loved it!  I had a lot of fun in that car!

2. Who was your favorite childhood teacher?
Oh, there were a few I loved, but one sticks out above the rest.  Mrs. Gibbs was my 5th grade teacher and she was such an angel.  Bless her soul, she passed away a few years ago, but I'll always have sweet memories with her!

3. Were you involved in any sports/extracurricular activities? Share pictures if you can!
I did color guard in high school and college.  Unfortunately all those pictures are not at my house, so I'll have to dig up some oldies and do a post on a blast from the past soon!:)

4. What was your favorite birthday party?
When I was younger I always had the same girls over for sleepovers for my birthday.  It was ALWAYS so much fun!  I can't pick just one since they were all SO fun!

3. If your house was on fire, what two things aside from family, pets, etc would you grab?

My laptop, and any album of pictures I could find!
4. What are your two most favorite articles of clothing? One of B's white t shirts.  LOVE IT. And I'd say, my dark jeans since I wear them most often.

5. What two movies that you saw in the past year would you recommend to us?

Honestly, I don't go to the movies really that often.  But last night we saw Zero Dark Thirty and it was good.  LONG but good. :)

6. What are your two biggest guilty pleasures?
