Getting To Know You #2

Comments (4)

During our last Getting to Know You link-up, we found out some great things about some of you ladies.  Today we are excited to bring this opportunity back!  We hope you link-up and participate with us at MS Women Bloggers!

Here’s ROUND TWO of questions…

Mississippi Women Bloggers

1. What is your favorite thing to do in your hometown?
-Corinth, MS is a good, small little town where everyone "knows your name".  I love to just go to a ballgame, see people and wave.  I love small town life.

2. What is the best vacation spot in Mississippi?
-If you are a history buff, then right here in my hometown is the spot for you.  You read about it in your history books and it is (literally) at the end of my road.

3. Tell us about the most fun date night idea in Mississippi.
-Well, living in a small town has it's advantages, and disadvantages.  With that said, the number of things to do on a date night in my hometown are limited.  We have the movies, a few nicer places to go eat, and even fewer stores to go shopping at; however, we still know how to have a good time with what we have.  So to me, a perfect date night in MS would be to go riding the backroads, listening to some good music, and then ending the night with a good movie and popcorn at home. :)

4. What is one fun fact that very few people know about you?
-I actually really love giving more than receiving.  I will give my last dollar to someone in need instead of keeping it for myself.

5. Who is your favorite sports team (if you have one) and how did it start?
-Honestly, I can't say that I'm big into sports.  I like the experience of games in person, but on television I get really distracted with my phone (Hello, Pinterest!).  But I have to pick my rebels.  I went to Ole Miss so that's where I have to honor; however, Brian is a MSU fan, so I'll pull for them too.  As long as it's not against Ole Miss. :)

6. What are your top three “Best Eats” in Mississippi?
1.  BottleTree Bakery-Oxford, MS
2.  Russel's Beef House- Corinth, MS
3.  Old Venice Pizza Company- Oxford, MS

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
-I will still be married to the love of my life, and hopefully watching over a child or two. :)

8. If you could choose an actress to play you in real life, who would you choose and why?
-I'm not really sure.  Honestly, I don't want a lot of movies/tv so to pick an actress would be sort of hard for me.  I don't get into the "celebrity" stuff like most people.

9. What is a southern tradition you and your family have? (Note: Get your guest posts on “Traditions” ready for December!)
-I'm not sure we really have any "traditions", but Christmas is always a fun holiday around my house because ever since I bought my house in 2008 I have hosted Christmas.  This will be my first married Christmas so I'm looking forward to trying a new routine out and coming up with some "traditions" of my own to start!

10. List 5 things on your Bucket List you hope to do before you die.
1. Have a child.
2. Visit NYC (again.)
3. Cruise to the Virgin Islands
4. Visit Hawaii.
5. Finish my family ancestry.

Rules:
  1. Write a post answering the above questions, and post it today (Thursday, September 26.)
  2. Grab the button code, and add it to your post.
  3. Come back to us to link up said post.
  4. Grab a big glass of sweet tea, and meet the ladies ’round our Mississippi Women Bloggers table!

P.S.- Please start thinking about what YOU would love to know about other bloggers and submit those questions to mississippiwomenbloggers@gmail.com with the subject "Getting To Know You".  We would LOVE to include your thoughts.

Life is just flying by, ya'll.  I'm 17 days away from my wedding day and I've been recently knocking things off that massive list that I've mentioned before.  It feels SO good to cross some of those things that have been looming for months on the list officially OFF.

Just in the last week:
-Marriage license
-Picked up garter
-Picked up Jenna's headpiece
-Finished Blake, Bryce, and Brad's bowties
-Ordered the cookies
-Received the plates/forks/cups for reception
-Dropped off picture for the newspaper
-Trial hair run
-Completed all wedding items that had be built
-Started organizing the "wedding supplies"

I would say it's been a GOOD week for marking things off.  I still have several things to do, but I'm feeling better and better every minute.

17 days ladies.. bare with me.  And pray for me to make it through.  I can't wait to get to show all the finished products off on my wedding reviews.

Rain...Shoppers?

This weekend was the annual Countrywood Sale, except this year it went  little differently....

WET.

It rained ALL. DAY. on us Friday as we tried to shop, but we didn't let it stop us.  We rode in the rain and had a blast!  Luckily, Saturday was MUCH better weather and the trip was a success!

I really should have made a list of all the goodies, but I didn't. Ooops.  But I do have something exciting to share.  Keeping Up With Kayla is getting a new home.  No, I'm not moving or anything like that.  I bought a desk this weekend that will serve as the KUWK headquarters! Unfortunately, the room that my office will be occupying is serving as my wedding storage room for now, so the pictures will come later.  I really can't wait to get it set up!

What did you do with your weekend? :)
