Don't forget to go link up with Jamie!

I'm loving... these mini muffins.  I have been eating them for breakfast again lately.  I used to always eat these things when I was in high school.  Only problem is that the fat kid in me could honestly eat two packages every morning.. HA! Don't worry.. I don't actually do it..

I'm loving... Blake Shelton's God Gave Me You.  You can find the lyrics here.  This song is pulling at the ole heart strings.. and making me think of a certain new someone! ;)

I'm loving... my phone.  I've used this one before but I mean it.  Without "my baby" I would be one lost little girl... ha!

I'm loving... that I got to visit with Roxie's mama last night.  For those of you who don't know, Trixie (her mama), belongs to some of our family sooooo last night we just randomly took a drive and stopped in to see her.  I really want to take Roxie to visit sometime and see if they "know each other" still since she hasn't seen Trixie in 2 1/2 years.   Also I was lucky enough to see Roxie's sister.  (Who goes by "Puppy" haha)

I'm loving... that we took little Princess for a ride last night.  I'm not sure I have mentioned Princess on the blog yet, but she just walked up to my parents' house and just made herself at home.  We, of course, took her in.  But every single time we leave in the car she howls like she is upset.  So last night I told her to get in and there she hopped in.  Look how happy she is.   Now I just gotta give her a bath.  I've waited to let her "warm up to us" before I put her through that but I think she is ready.  She is older and SUCH a gentle dog.   Yay for Princess!

I'm loving... that my brother and sister in law are at the zoo right now with Jenna bugg.  I bet she is going to have a blast today looking at all the animals.  I can't wait to start getting some pictures from them! (I'll share....)

I'm loving... that in November we are having girls' night with some of the girls from work.  Headed to the Reba concert!!!!!

I'm loving... this picture of my baby doll and me.  This was last September.  Can't believe how fast time is going!

I'm loving... the new crush!

Everyone have a blessed day!

Today I am going to talk about a love story.

This is my grandmother and grandfather when both were still living and very much in love.

Although I never met my grandfather, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him and his relationship with my grandmother.  He was a devoted Christian man who adored my grandmother and their children.  He was a hard worker who never thought twice about making the sacrifices needed to make sure his family was provided for and happy.

My grandmother was a stay at home wife and mother who worked hard to make sure "her part" of their lives were maintained as well.   She was a devoted Christian woman who raised her children proudly.

Together they did what needed to be done, they talked their issues out, they worked past life's obstacles with their trust in God.

They are the couple I am striving to be.  They are the picture perfect idea of what I want my life to be like with someone.

So you may ask why I am writing this stuff, why now, what prompted all this love talk, is there a new guy in my life?

Guilty.

I am not quite ready to be sharing the details on it, but I do feel like I owe my friends this little tidbit.

I'll be posting a little more of this as I feel more comfortable with laying it all out there on the line, but for now I'm asking you lovely ladies to keep me in mind during your prayers and pray this wonderful fella and me work out. :)  Because your girl Kayla is totally liking him...... :)

And that feels SO wonderful to say.

                               Yep, she has him handcuffed.

                                   Mamaw was a cool cat.

Think new guy is okay with me handcuffing him for our Christmas picture this year? hehe!

I'm crazy...

Hey ladies!!!! Let me start off with telling you I have had a fabulous weekend!  This was Countrywood yard sale weekend.  For those of you who do not know what that is- it is my fave sale of the year.  It is Cordova, TN and it is literally two neighborhoods that save this one weekend all year for one massive sale for whoever wants to participate.   So in other words, it is a yard sale heaven.  =)

If I sat here and named off all I got you would be bored, BUT IMPRESSED.  But I don't think I am going to.  I honestly can't think of it all... yes, that much.  :)   But just know I had an absolutely fabulous time and I can't wait for next year's fiasco already! :)

Now check out this sweet picture.  I apologize about it being a little blurry.

Sweet Sweet Kisses.
I love that little girl, in case some of you hadn't already figured that out!   I kept her for awhile Thursday before going home to pack and we had a ball playing.

Now speaking of us playing.. I also kept her a little while yesterday and she was in an extra playful mood.  When I got out there she was dressed in jeans.  Now let me just say, she looks cute in ANYTHING she has on.. but these jeans were absolutely precious!

And her butt....  Well, see for yourself....

She will kill me for taking a picture of her butt one day when she is older and finds out.. but isn't it cute?  I told her don't worry, the boys are gonna like it!  Her daddy didn't appreciate that comment very much. ha!

Now... I gotta show ya'll something.  I liked those jeans so much I decided to try them on myself.  Yep you heard me right.
It was absolutely hilarious!  I didn't think they would do anything but go over my feet.. but walah!  Here we are with me sporting some 18 month jeans, HAHAHAHA!

I told ya'll I'm crazy.. :)

What she calls me....... eh, NOT.

Since I have been a bad blogger that means I haven't updated on Jenna-bugg lately either.

Well, let me all tell you about this little stinker's new thing....

SHE REFUSES TO SAY MY NAME.

Mom and dad grilled out for the family so I got to their house before my brother, Jennifer, and Jenna did.  I heard them coming in the door and Jennifer saying that Jenna had JUST said "Sissy" in the car.  Well, duh, I RAN to the child and was asking her to say it.  Did she?

NO.

All during dinner we tried.

NO.

She can say every. single. person.

and

every. single. thing.

BUT
NOT
SISSY
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe ONE DAY I'll have a name..................................MAYBE!

What a trip..

I know it has taken me like too many forevers to get this going on here, BUT, in my defense I have been sick and I haven't felt much like blogging.  In fact, I have not even read most of your lovely ladies posts since the week BEFORE I left.  I know, I'm a terrible friend.

So, that leads me to the fact that I have no idea really where to start so I am going to jump straight into my vacation.

We had orginally planned to leave out at midnight the night of the 7th, but the closer it got, the more anxious we got so we ended up pulling out at 10:00!  I didn't know how I was going to handle sitting in a car ALL night long with no sleep, BUT I made it.  Yes, I was quite delerious once we did in fact get there, but that's beside the point, yes?

We rolled into Gatlinburg about 3 Am and ended up where else but Wal-Mart? Tammy ended up FALLING asleep in the parking lot and now I'm wondering why I didn't get a picture of this sight.  Like I said, I was half out of myself.

We ended up going over to some friends condo and hanging out until it was okay to check into our room.  Once we got in there, it was showers and right back out the door.  Still no sleep.   Tammy and I were starving so we chose to eat at Bennett's BBQ.  Oh my yummy-goodness.  It was fantastic and I'm not sure how I ate the AMOUNT of food that I did.  I will not discuss that because it makes me a fat kid and I'm clearly not.  Shut up haters

Tammy @ Bennett's!
Later that night, with STILL no sleep, we ended up downtown just walking through Gatlinburg.  I honestly have to say I can't remember much about this, LOL.  This girl likes her sleep. a lot.

After a good night's rest, I woke up the Friday morning ready to rock and roll!  We went to Cade's Cove and it was everything and then some what I expected it to be.  It was absoutely a beautiful day and with a great great group of people.  We looked all day but never saw a bear while were at Cade's Cove, but we did see a wolf.  Yes, I have a picture to prove it.

Here are just some other random shots I got during Cade's Cove...

Can I get married here? Please..

Saturday morning, us ladies got up and went yard saling.  Yes, I went to yard sales while I was on vacation in the mountains.  I told ya'll I have a sickness and you didn't believe me.  After that, I was fortunate enough to get to meet up with Hillary, Jeff, Mert, and Bill and have lunch with them at Blaine's Bar & Grill.  Although we had to WALK UP to the third floor level to eat, it was good.  But fat kids don't need to be walking up that many stairs.  Maybe fat kid needs to learn to eat better, hehe!

We ventured over to the Arts and Crafts Community after that and stopped along the way at some of the shops.  My fave one was the Alewine Pottery place.   These people make some amazing pottery pieces and I ended up buying two coffee mugs for my mom and dad, that conviently read "Nana" and "Poppop" on them.   Both of them were tickled to death to get them.  And how FUN is that to end up finding a coffee mug with such a name as "Poppop" on it?  LOL! :)  Jenna has started a trend.. :)  While we were there we sat outside in some rocking chairs and listened to a few songs by a couple.  It really was a good time!

I really liked Mrs. Beach Bear.

HA!  This needs to be on the table at the wedding reception... =)
Sunday we took a drive and ended up at Clingman's Dome.  When my mama warned me this was a hike, I didn't understand that I was close to DYING trying to get my fat kid butt up there.  The sign reads 0.5 miles.... UHHHHH... that has got to the longest and most painful 0.5 mile of my life.  But was it worth it?  Absolutely.  The view from up top is breath taking and by the time I got up there, the cool air was feeling good, ha!!!  (I'm quite sure this has a lot to do with my STILL being sick though.. 6643 ft in the air is some serious elevation changes from good ole flat Mississippi.)
God's beautiful creation.

On the way to Clingman's Dome!

Isn't he a doll?!?!?!?

Tammy at the BOTTOM of Clingman's Dome since she chickened out on me!!!!
On our way out of Clingman's Dome we ran into a little surprise- a baby bear!!! =)   It was sitting in the top of a tree having a snack, hehe.  We pulled over and snapped some photos!

Isn't he/she precious!??!?!?!??!!?

The rest of the trip we just did as we as pleased as far as shopping and more sight seeing.  We did run into a Mama bear and two cubs though!

Playing in the creek!

I love these people!!!!!!!!!
I am absolutely blessed beyond measures that I have friends like this that are close enough as family to me.  I had a blast with them and cannot wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  But before I end this massive picture overloaded post, I have got to tell you the story that MADE the trip.

We had rode over to Choctaw one day to see the Indian reservation up there and on our way back toward Gatlinburg we were having a discussion about how screwed someone would be if they hit a deer/bear... well OUR luck... we are driving along and out tumbles this black figure and we BARELY missed the stupid thing.  I mean we honestly pulled over and checked the car, we were THAT close.   Of course by this point we were all about to pee on ourselves from laughing at the luck we were having.  But thankgoodness no one got hurt because I'd hate to be sitting here talking about the bear battered car. LOL.

Well ladies, I think I left out tons.. but I have tried for days to get this up so I'm going to count my lucky stars this much happened!  And I promise to get back on blogger better....

MUAH! :)

P.S.- OH, and word to the wise- never ever eat at Dick's.   They hire based on the name.
